The incident, captured on body camera footage released by the Morgan Hill Police Department, shows officers responding to reports of the man's erratic behavior. The video depicts the man advancing towards the officers with a knife, leading to one officer firing his weapon, striking the man. The man, identified as 39-year-old Joel Orozco, was hospitalized and later died from his injuries. The shooting is under investigation by the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office, with the police department stating that the officers involved were placed on administrative leave.
