After finding that no adults were in the home, the deputies called for assistance. While waiting, they say one of the children appeared holding an open bottle of wine.

A mother from Pennsylvania was arrested after her 1-year-old child was found with a bottle containing alcohol at a daycare center. The incident occurred when the child was dropped off at the center, and staff noticed the baby acting strangely, leading them to discover the alcohol-laced bottle. The mother, Samantha Elizabeth Payne, faces charges of endangering the welfare of a child and recklessly endangering another person. The child was taken to a hospital for evaluation and was found to be unharmed. Payne claimed she accidentally grabbed the wrong bottle, which contained a mix of rum and wine, but police noted the bottle's nipple was discolored from the alcohol, suggesting it was not an isolated incident.
