"True leader" Dumelo provides University of Ghana students with free transport

John Dumelo provided free buses for level 100 University of Ghana students to travel home for vacation on May 12. The gesture was praised online.

John Dumelo, a Ghanaian actor and politician, organized free bus services to transport University of Ghana students back to their hometowns after their examinations, as announced on his social media on January 11, 2023. The initiative aimed to ease the financial burden on students during the economic crisis, with buses departing from the university's central cafeteria to destinations like Kumasi, Takoradi, and Tamale. Dumelo, who is also an aspiring Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, expressed his commitment to supporting the students and encouraged them to reach out for assistance. This gesture was part of his broader efforts to engage with and support the community, particularly during challenging times.
