Recovery crews and divers searched the Potomac River for remains and cleared wreckage Saturday from the midair collision of a passenger jet and Army helicopter that killed 67 people.

Recovery crews have resumed operations in the Potomac River following a tragic mid-air collision between a plane and a helicopter, which occurred on June 2, 2022. The incident resulted in the death of all four individuals on board the aircrafts. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is leading the investigation, focusing on retrieving debris and analyzing flight data to determine the cause of the crash. The recovery efforts are concentrated near the Wilson Bridge, where the wreckage was initially found. The NTSB has indicated that the process will be thorough, involving the examination of air traffic control communications, radar data, and maintenance records of both the plane and the helicopter. The community and families of the victims are awaiting further details as the investigation continues.
