Princess Diana gave hilarious tongue-in-cheek advice to a bride she encountered in Sydney, Australia in November 1996, reminiscent of advice she had received before her own 1981 wedding to Prince Charles.

Princess Diana, known for her warmth and humor, once gave a bride named Barbara de Vries some playful advice before her wedding in 1991. During a pre-wedding lunch at Kensington Palace, Diana humorously suggested to Barbara, who was marrying in St. Paul's Cathedral where Diana had wed Prince Charles, to "Look, just do what I did: enjoy the day and then get pregnant, and you'll get all the attention!" This light-hearted comment was shared by Barbara in a 2017 interview with The Times, reflecting Diana's ability to connect with people through her wit and charm.
