Cleveland music fans are invited to a special evening of entertainment and philanthropy as local guitarist and composer Alex Rozis hosts a wine and cheese fundraiser benefiting the Magnolia Center for Arts & Community. The event, scheduled for September 14th at 7:00 PM at the historic Triskett Ballroom (280 Euclid Avenue), promises an intimate performance by Rozis alongside delicious refreshments and a chance to support a vital community resource.
Rozis, known throughout Northeast Ohio for his captivating guitar work blending jazz, classical, and world music influences, is deeply committed to supporting local arts organizations. The Magnolia Center, located in the Little Rock neighborhood of Cleveland (learn more about their mission here: [ https://magnoliacenterarts.org/ ]), provides a diverse range of programs including art classes for children and adults, community theater productions, exhibitions showcasing local artists, and vital social services. It serves as a cornerstone for creative expression and positive engagement within the Little Rock neighborhood and beyond.
“The Magnolia Center is an incredible asset to our city,” Rozis stated in a press release. “They provide opportunities for so many people – from kids learning their first brushstrokes to seniors finding connection through art. I’m honored to be able to use my music to help them continue their important work.”
Tickets for the fundraiser are $50 per person and include entry to the performance, complimentary wine and cheese selections, and a chance to mingle with fellow arts enthusiasts. All proceeds from ticket sales will directly benefit the Magnolia Center's operating budget, enabling them to expand existing programs and develop new initiatives that serve the community.
The Triskett Ballroom, chosen as the venue for this special event, adds another layer of charm and significance. The historic ballroom, known for its stunning Art Deco architecture (explore more about the Triskett Ballroom’s history here: [ https://www.triskettballroom.com/ ]), has hosted countless performances and gatherings over the years, making it a fitting location to celebrate Cleveland's vibrant arts scene.
Rozis’ musical journey is as diverse as his influences. He began playing guitar at a young age, initially drawn to rock music before expanding his horizons to explore classical and jazz techniques. His compositions often weave together intricate melodies with evocative harmonies, creating a sound that is both technically impressive and emotionally resonant. You can hear examples of his work on his website: [ https://alexrozis.com/ ]. He’s performed at numerous venues across the region, consistently earning praise for his virtuosity and engaging stage presence.
The Magnolia Center's impact extends far beyond its art classes and performances. They actively address social needs within the Little Rock community, offering programs that promote literacy, provide access to resources, and foster a sense of belonging. Their commitment to inclusivity ensures that everyone has the opportunity to participate in creative activities, regardless of their background or financial circumstances.
This fundraiser represents a collaborative effort between Rozis and the Magnolia Center, highlighting the power of music and community engagement to create positive change. It’s an opportunity for Clevelanders to enjoy an evening of exceptional music while simultaneously supporting a vital organization that enriches lives and strengthens neighborhoods.
