Chris Newsome, Chris Banchero, and Raymund Hodge have been cleared to play as local players for Meralco in the Basketball Champions League Asia, as confirmed by FIBA on May 11, 2025. This decision allows the trio, who have previously represented the Philippines in international competitions, to compete without occupying the team's import slots. Meralco, having secured the Philippine Cup title, is set to participate in the regional tournament, with their first game scheduled against Al Riyadi from Lebanon on June 3, 2025, in Dubai.
