Mensik, ranked 131st, showcased an impressive performance, defeating the 24-time Grand Slam champion 6-4, 7-5. This victory not only marked Mensik's first ATP final but also highlighted his potential as a rising star in tennis. Djokovic, despite the loss, expressed admiration for Mensik's game and acknowledged the teenager's bright future in the sport.
