Sun Prairie School District names next director of business and finance

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WKOW) — The Sun Prairie Area School District has named Matt Clark as their next director of business and finance. Clark brings a background in school finance and operations, with six years in public school business offices.

The Sun Prairie Area School District has appointed Rachel Berg as its new Director of Business and Finance, effective from July 1, 2023. Berg, who has been serving as the Assistant Director of Business and Finance since 2021, will succeed Phil Frei who is retiring after 17 years in the position. With over 15 years of experience in school finance, Berg has worked in various roles within the district since 2016, including budget analyst and accountant. Her appointment was announced by Superintendent Dr. Brad Saron, who praised her deep understanding of the district's financial operations and her commitment to its mission.
