Singapore-MIT Alliance Innovates with Nanosensor for Real-Time Plant Iron Tracking

The Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) has developed a groundbreaking nanosensor technology aimed at revolutionizing agriculture by enabling real-time tracking of iron levels in plants. This innovation, detailed in a recent article by Hoodline, involves the use of carbon nanotubes embedded with DNA aptamers that specifically bind to iron ions. These sensors can detect iron concentrations within plant tissues, providing farmers with immediate insights into nutrient deficiencies.
